Quickly and reliable test the cable continuity of straight-through, cross-over, and reverse cables with this portable cable tester. This unit tests both RJ-45 and RJ-11 cables using flashing eight LED’s, illuminating one-by-one in sequence, indicating the pinout configuration from one connector to the other. The remote unit detaches for testing wires that have already been installed.

There are three modes: OFF, ON, and S (Slow). The slow mode is an automatic testing method that increases the light sequence time so you don’t miss any of the sequence. It’s a simple battery-operated tool, but it’s indispensable when creating your own patch cables from scratch.
